Don't quite understand all the chirping on the prices of used bikes. Hello, this is America, it's what makes us great. Put a price of $100k on it, maybe someone will be stupid enough to buy it. Obviously if the vast majority of used bikes are at high prices that would seem to indicate someone is buying them at those prices. If no one was buying at those prices then the prices would come down. Now I agree with you, used prices are insane. When I bought my last bike in '06 I had every intention of buying used. I found that for the most part used bikes were going for 80-90% the cost of new, even bikes with 50k miles on them. So I wound up buying new. Unfortunately at my age I can see the day coming when I won't be able to ride anymore and I'm looking forward to getting that high used price, gotta pay for those rocking chairs ya know.......

Oh it cracks me up sometimes what these people ask for their bikes. Sure, everyone has a right to ask whatever they want to ask BUT that doesn't mean it's a real asking price. I mean come on, don't ask for the same or more that I can buy the same model for brand new. And If you seriously think you can include the add-ons into you asking price then you're a complete dumbass! I bought my 2004 softail, With with every single possible piece chromed for $$7500 with 11K miles on it. Most of the opinions you get here are from guys that hope they get a certain $ amount as ownsers. Truth ne told, You can get a great deal if you work at it. Most Harey riders these days don't have a CLUE!

That seems like a really good deal... but, I'm left coast and not looking for an Evo.

To compare... I found a '99 near where I'm working for $7k. It's a Salvage Title with a dented wheel... no bags and scratched up on the right side... f-ing crazy.

Last year I ran into the same thing and bought a new one instead. But the one in the ad seems to fit your parameters.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for but it sounds like you shold look for an old police bike. They are good platforms to start with with and you can usually get great deals on them.

Suntower My advice take a break maybe shop around for some new furniture or a TV and take a break from the future bike project for now. You seem to be getting very upset Do not wind up in the ER shopping for a 10 year old RK. By the way I have 28 grand in mine but its not for sale that includes purchase price of course.

Fatboy deluxe? That would be cool if such a bike existed.
