Somewhere in every transaction is a buyer who is willing to pay what the seller is willing to accept.

However, one of my friends recently asked me about selling my '03 RK.
When I told him it wasn't for sale he asked me why and I told him that I wasn't willing to take the "fair market price" for it and I wouldn't sell it to him for more than "fair market price".

He needs to keep looking, and I need to keep my RK!

Or throwing the word "Custom" around because I changed the bars and put decals on it.

I also woundnt go thinking my 1995 Sportster... 883 Sportster at that... is worth $16 farking grand because it was in a magazine and has a ridiculous paint job... like this clown:

Extreme example... but this is not all that rare.
Are you trying to tell me you're not willing to drop a extra 12k for a gay lizard on your gas tank?

Maybe he could sell it to Geico for commercials!! Ha ha ha...

Here's another good one. A very, VERY nicely customized 2003 Anniversary RK... which, at $28 friggin grand, probably costs more than the bike did originally... and all the customization added to it. Pretty sweet deal actually... buy a new bike... customize it... ride it and enjoy it for 10 years... then sell it and get all your money back. Gotta remember that one.

C'mon man...

That 16 K 1995 Sporty is a real bargain. Wonder if he'd trade me straight across for my 2010 FXSTC which I figure may be in the 15 k range about now. But I'd be the proud owner of a lizard bike. Pah.

That might explain this one. I got a laugh from this line.

2002 HARLEY SPORTSTER
SPORTSTERS 2004 TO 2011 ARE DESIGNED DIFFERENT AND PRICED LESS

In agree, a standard 2003 Road King with the same miles is going for $10000.00. Where is this guy thinking he's got $18000.00 in improvements. It's a cool bike, but not for 28 grand.

There are plenty of nice used stock Road kings for sale at very fair prices here in NY. Four years ago I bought my box stock 02 with 9K miles for $10K. Keep looking....you'll find what your after. http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/mcy/3590930641.html I don't know....what do you think of this one?

I search CL for bikes and you have to look a lot and you may have to look regionally.
But motivated sellers are out there.
