Single cylinder in the future.....?

The single cylinder idea is OK, using mostly existing components. But why would they put such a horrible looking ***-end on it? Makes it look like any other metric road rocket from the '90's.

The rear looks like left over stock from the XR1200 and the XR inverted forks on a Sportser frame. Very inexpensive to use an existing jug and head also. Just new cases.
What happened to all the detractors that raved and screamed HD would die unless they had a youth oriented bike?
A lot of motorcyclist enthusiast's have a place in their hearts for the "thumpers".

Come on guys some of you must remember the Yamaha XT and TT bikes. Single thumpers that were really a lot of fun to ride. I have to admit I would find it hard to believe that they would sell in the US. Maybe a good entry bike in other countries where that displacement was the norm for most bikes.

One of my first bikes was a Yamaha 360 Enduro thumper. A ball to ride. IF, and I mean IF Harley were to build it, I may be interested. I'd like to see a standard style bike, not some sort of crotch rocker racer wannabe like the Buell. Modeling it on the old Aeromacchi (sic) wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
Of course, I'm still waiting on the Revolution powered Road Glide too

Why not? Some guys tour the world on Thumpers. My DR650 does everything I need a bike to do - locally, except look cool.
