If it doesn't work, just get the quiet baffles. Not much quieter...kinda just takes the edge off the sound. Actually sound better and definitely add back pressure. I could feel a little low end torque gain as soon as I installed them.
Definitely try that method though and let us know if it works. The quiet baffles cost be about $70 bucks. Its nice to be able to save a buck by doing your own ****. My harley has a way of reaching into my wallet a lot.

Well done! Save you $$ if it works.
To be honest, if I have a hydraulic pipe spreader, I can reproduce BCT baffles all day lol.

I have the DKCustoms Thunder Torque Inserts http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/Thun...nserts_c57.htm $19. They're similar to lollipops. I have the quiet baffles alsoo yet the torque inserts bumped up the steep dip in the torque curve of my Sporty at 2000 rpms. It now runs flatter and more linear. A bit stronger to boot.
It also deepened the sound a tad.

Fuel lines inside the tank may have holes. The filter sock attached to the fuel pump may also be plugged/screwed up somehow.
