Well, um, for one reason, you'd think they would like to get everyone they could in there so that maybe those non-members would end up joining. It's not like those non-members would be getting anything for free, you're paying a cover charge whether you're a HOG member or not. I guess they figure they want you to join up front before the rally, because they know if you get in there you might realize how lame it is and then you damn sure won't be cutting a check for membership to HOG.

I'm just tryin' to figure out who gets what questions. You'd probably know if I need to buy a leather vest to wear there or will I be more likely to get respect if I buy at the rally and pay 120% of retail.

You need to buy it first and boy are you in luck. I just put one in the Classassafied section that will get you all kinds of respect among the HOG guys.

Every time a thread comes up about H.O.G. I am unable to resist putting this vid in it. I don't have an opinion regarding H.O.G. but think this is funnier than hell.

Do not watch with children in the room, it's a little racy!

The bikes are different and the people dress different but the end result is the same.

The people you will meet there are a mix of old farts who don't like the activities at a real rally and young first time Harley owners who don't know any better yet and think it's actually a real rally...........lol.

Any group rides they have will usually end at the local Dairy Queen or other Ice Cream shop. And if your really lucky, they will hit a buffet on the way there!
Unlike a real rally where a bunch of old hippies stand at the bar all day yelling 'show us yer ****'

Let me put my 2 cents in. I went to the OK rally 2 years ago and had a good time. They had a small but nice vendor area, and the food vendors were OK. What i did enjoy most was the different rides you could go on. I had not ridden much in OK before so I got to see some new scenery. The poker run was fun because it went to different casinos. I think I got a hat from it. The HOG members were friendly and helpful. The price to get in was about the same as any local rally I have been to. You do have to be a HOG member to get in. Would do it again.

You obviously have no idea what a "Hippie" is do you?
I have never met a Hippie who owned or rode a motorcycle. And anyone who was a Hippie back in the day would probably be driving a Prius and not a bike.
