Sounds like you are describing the connector for adding a siren alarm to the security system.

Look for brown and purple wires. Brown is for the right side blinker and purple for the left...

...I think. Could be the other way around. Either way, those are definately the color of the wires for the turn signals.

Really hard sometimes to figure out what someone did when modifying wiring like that. Hopefully, as others have said, he left the harness under the seat unmolested. I'm thinking any harness plug with a "rubber plug" in it under the seat will not be what you're looking for as the main harnes that goes from under the seat to back out under the fenter to the brake light module has all the wires in it for your running lights, brake lights, and turn signals. Thus if they "capped" that they would have run whatever it is you have for a brake/run light out from the wiring harness from in front of that plug...follow your wires back from your brake light and chances are you'll find the plug you're looking for with the brown and violet wires in it for the turn signals.

I agree Username. I like my turn signals, although my two bikes didn't have them, I'd want them back on if they were gone. Well, my '75 FXE did but I took them off.

[QUOTE=Uniqueusername;10960132]RANGER73, (RLTW?)

LRRP, University of Vietnam Class of 72'

That covered plug might be for a battery tender, without pics we're guessing.

I couldn't see your Sua Sponte in the mobile version. Otherwise I wouldn't have had to ask. I only saw your screen name.

I will try to take a picture of it and post it. Battery tender sounds like a possibility. I will get back to you.

Ok, I think it for both accessories, and a tender. My bike has this:
http://www.jafrum.com/Accessories/Ba...y-Tender-Fused

And the connector will also accept this:

The first one (jafrum) is the pigtail to the battery.
The second one (4wheelparts) is an acc. that can plug into the first one. But your limited to the 5amp fuse in part #1. So you can't plug in a lighter, only a GPS or phone. Small load stuff.

Yeah, if I wanted to smoke a cigarette I would just get a lighter. But this solves a different issue for me.......i had been wondering how to rig up a phone charger. Thanks!
