Wife and I both wear the Shoei RF-1100. It's comfortable and has good venting for those hot days. DOT and SNELL approval is a plus.

I'd say a FF helmet but I wouldn't know which brand. But they just look the safest to me.

Snell is the highest rating for a helmet. Shoei, Arai and Schuberth full face lids are the best on the market.

i am wearing a 3/4 snell & dot approved helmet by simpson(racing safety equipment guys). very nice helmet--believe it is listed as a cruiser model on their web page. most of their helmets are made in america. picked mine up at their plant in new braunfels, tx..

p.s. the simpson comes with a nice visor and a small shield.

Your safest helmet is going to be a Snell rated full face.

I've got a few but the best fit and quality helmet I own is a Shoei X11.
Some swear by the Aria lids but they don't fit my head very well. I think both companies make the best helmets in the world.
