Default rubber removal?

Does anyone have a good method of rubber removal off from chrome exhaust? I have a few small spots on my exhaust from my boots and cant get it off.

Try EZ-Off Oven Cleaner and a rag.

Else 00 grade steel wool and Semi Chrome.

Get the pipes hot and get the thick stuff off with a popsicle stick edge and wet cotton shop rag, then let them cool down and try ez-off, bug be gone, or laquer thinner

Get what you can off with a stick while the pipes are hot as stated. I've had varying degrees of success with goof off, kerosene and most petroleum based products. What remains I take off with a Magic Eraser. Those things really are magic.

No steel wool or Simichrome. Both will damage chrome. Look for Colonel Brassy. Try oven cleaner. Anything harsh will wear or dull chrome.

Easy-Off "COLD OVEN" cleaner. Spray on - leave overnight - just wipe off with a rag - no blemishes or discolorasion. Don't get it on anything else
Wife can use it after you on her oven. LOL

I had some good success with H-D stick exhaust cleaner - requires elbow grease and time. I prefer the oven cleaner.
