Default Trailering to Daytona

Okay,
Getting ready to trailer my Deluxe down to Daytona for Bike Week (would ride, but too darn cold)!!! Don't own my own trailer as I don't like to trailer the bike anyway and too expensive of an investment for maybe only once or twice a year. I'm gonna try that UHaul 5x9 with the integrated chock in the front. Anyone had any experience with this particular trailer (going from Ohio to Florida and back)??????

Is this the trailer that you are getting? If so it looks nice for hauling a bike. Just tie it down and go.

That trailer works great. Tows smooth too.

Man, I did not know that Uhaul even had those. If that $15 a day price is accurate, then it seems pretty solid for a pinch.

I've used that trailer to hall my old bike to my brother in Minnesota, from KY. No problems at all, just cut my mileage per gallon in half almost. I took it easy, stayed near 70.

I used that exact trailer last year and wouldn't hesitate to use it again. It didn't look like much, but performed well and the price was hard to beat.

Smile U Haul Trailer

I used that same trailer to haul 2011 Ultra Classic Electra Glide from MI to FL and back last April and it worked great.

I used that trailer to haul a bike I purchased from Manhattan KS, to Omaha, NE. Probably about a 6 hour round trip. Pulled fine and I would not hesitate to take it on your trip.

How serious are they with that sticker on the fender that says 55mph? That would be the only thing that would worry me. Not sure about Ohio and in between here and there but on the big roads here, you will get run over doing less than 75-80. Good luck and hope it works for ya.

They're full of ****, it's just a liability thing. I have first hand experience towing a Uhaul trailer over 90mph (not that I condone such things.....)
