Your brake pedal is almost parallel to the ground. Mine is on the same angle as the frame rail. That could be part of your trouble with reaching it.

yea im not sure what the seat is supposed to do spec wise all he said was "its an aftermarket sundowner seat" not sure what to make of that. i've been thinking i'd like to take the passenger part and sissy bar off if it comes off.

im hoping i can just ride very little until it warms up and put off the winter gear until later in the year since springs so close and im trying to come up with the cash to redo the shed floor, get a lift table, and get electricity out there

ill check on that as soon as i can go out without my hands going numb and make sure its not just the way the photo looks.

if it is off is it adjustable or is it just a trait of the brand of controls?

I don't know if it's adjustable since I've never had that issue but certainly worth checking out. It could be as simple as taking the lever off and moving it on the pivot.
