OK, I guess worthless was the wrong word. But compaired to a larger windshield such as the Memphis Fats or a Batwing its is not near as effective. But then maybe you are shorter than I am and the Harley shield is large enough for you.

Bear in mind that for 2013, H-D only offers the FXDC (not the FXD), so another option to consider is the Street Bob, which offers an upgrade to the 103 for pretty cheap if you build it on-line.

Having owned a Dyna Lowrider, when they were still available, I can attest to the good handling of a Super Glide. Tweak the suspension (Progressive front & rear) and it becomes an even better ride.

Love my RoadGlide Ultra but sure miss my WideGlide. It was light enough you could horse it around.

Memphis Shades actually makes replacement plastic for the HD windshields. They also make shorter and taller than stock replacements. I'm 5'9".

Default merge to become...

Buy all the parts from both bikes and build a combined "Super Wide Glide".

Or something like that.

I had the compact QR windshield on my 11 SG and the buffeting was terrible. I switched to the QR touring windshield and it works perfect-no buffeting. Only use it on extra long rides. 98% no windshield

I believe that that would probably help a lot. But I just went to the HD wesite and can't find a touring windshield that will fit the Wideglide. Mine was the compact and I hated it. I am now useing the MS Batwing so no longer need a QD, thanks.
