if you have a center stand or bike jack, there's no need for a funnel

I never imagined that this was even an issue?
I've always just used a small skinny plastic funnel, $2 at the hardware store.
Just thought that was the norm.

And if you want to stay color coordinated, WalMart has them in HD orange. Only you will know the difference.

Necessity is the 'mother' of invention...


Heard that many times before, but you can't beat those "AHA!!" moments in one's life. Then you find out that it's been done before...



I just lay my bike over on it's right side, and let gravity control the flow!

That's what I do,too. As long as my GF is around to pick it back up for me.

Or a short length of 2x4 under the stand or a very worn back tire like mine. That how I posed it for my signature shot.

Hell the purpose built funnel is only 10 bucks and works like a charm.

I just took a small aluminum funnel and slightly flattened the end so that it fits between the clutch basket and outer primary lip snuggly, so it stays in place. Been using it for years!
