Do You Prefer Pull-On or Lace-Up Riding Boots??
#84
I ride with both.
I use the pull-on engineer style if I'm just going to ride, and not walk a lot. I have somewhat curved feet, and the engineer boot rubs my big toes in such a way as to cause painful rubbing and blisters if I have to walk a distance.
I use the lace-up combat style, waterproof boot for most trips where I will be doing any walking or hiking. They break in very easily, and conform to my foot's curvature.

I didn't read this whole mess buut back int he'50s when I got into bikes at a young age anyone wearing lace-ups would have been thought pretty dumb. Too many shifters, brake pedals, chains, spokes, wheels, cable and etc to hook up a lace and cause major problems.
I don't even like wearing sneakers on the bike but I do on the way to work...

Was never interested in lace up with a zipper. Isn't that like wearing a belt and suspenders?
