House or bike?

RE: House or bike?
If there was no way to keep both, then the bike is much easier to replace, less comfortable to sleep on, and is colder and wetter in inclimate weather, than the house. The bike would have to go.

Bike. I'd sell it in a second. You're out of your mind selling an appreciating asset to keep a depreciating asset, along with all the other common sense arguments involved.
I'd sell the bike then keep my eyes open for an old shovel that needed some tlc and tinker with it in my spare time.

Can you rent the house or take a roomate until things improve ? It would be tough to replace the equity even with the future earnings. Invest a little time and money - ask a qualified financial planner or equalivent.
