Shame about old companies going south like that. For the last twenty years I've been having my stuff made at local shops. It seems like a good rule of thumb is that if it's off the shelf, and under $400, it's probably junk.

If you find a great deal on a new leather jacket that's about a 1/3rd the cost of a proper leather jacket; its probably too good to be true.
