i have em and left clear bulbs in the rear so @ night they catch peoples eyes

 

I have smoked lenses on my mine and run the LED inserts...they are plenty bright.
Before I upgraded to LED's, I would estimate that they reduced the stock bulbs brightness by about 10-15%...not much in m opinion.
