They look good, but functionality is more important than look when it comes to mirrors.

you don't need to see the sky or the road , just whats behind / side of you. adjust accordingly.

I think you were smart to dump them. They did look good on your bike but if you were finding you had to keep turning your head to see whats behind you, then they needed to go.

Mirrors look great. Are they convex or flat? Who makes them?

I agree. I do like the mirrors you have, but if they are too small for you to be functional, I would not keep them. I want my bike to be beautiful, but the bottom line is that it has to be functional for me to ride it. I use my mirrors.

+1 ...... I only hate that I can't get flat glass in the stock mirrors

I think your first opinion of them is right. They look more contemporary than retro... don't quite match the bike's styling.
