Default HD Heated Gear Control Question

I have the HD gloves and jacket liner with the dual controller. I've been using the dual controller mounted to the tank for easy access. Looks like our Polar Bear ride on New years day is supposed to be a cold rain. Anyone know if the dual controller is waterproof? Did not see any indication on the HD site.

I can put it in my jacket pocket to protect it but will not be able to adjust it without stopping.

Put it in a sealed baggy. You can still adjust it and it will be protected from the rain.

I think I would bow out of the ride. Cold is one thing, but wet on top of it, I'm not interested. Besides, I also have the gerbings gloves, jacket liner and dual controller, they're too expensive to risk damage on a holiday ride.

Just ask them for a "rain check", hehehehe.

Straight from the horses mouth......"Wires are UL listed and completely safe, in all weather conditions."

Yes. I've run my controller exposed for the last 3 winters with no issues.

It can't hurt to use the baggy.
