Default Painting My Pipes!

Ive got an 09 Night train with chrome V&H big radious pipes. Im looking to paint the pipes black. Im looking at Cerekote ceramic air cure coating, but Im not set on anything yet. Has anyone attempted to use this or any other product to paint thier pipes. I can use any advise yas can give, this will be a first for me. Thanx!

When I painted the pipes on my VTX I used the Dupli-color exhaust paint. Make sure you scuff them up well with either 600 grit wet sandpaper or a scotchbrite pad. Follow the directions on the can and it should turn out ok.

I also painted the plastic chrome on the bike, but along with the sanding I used a paint adhesive. It comes in a can and generaly used for plastic lawn furniture and stuff like that. I don't think that would work well with the exhaust heat.

cheers
