Default New beliver in Dyno vs DIY for fuel injection

Like many people on here, I ordered my PCIII from Jamie at FuelMoto. It worked well enough, and with a few mods I was able to get rid of all decel pops.
My mileage was crap 33-35 and it stumbled/backfired every once in a while. I finally got tired of the bad mileage, and the almost staling it has done a few times at low speeds while making a u-turn.

I did some research and found that RC Cycles in Hayward, NorCal is highly respected. Set up a date, and wow am I impressed! Bob there really new his stuff. I tried to get him to come here, but he is a die-hard HTT fan.

The guy put nearly 50 miles on my bike on the Dyno. Bob let me watch what he did, and ask as many questions as I wanted. Answered them all. I highly recommend them. I'm still getting my hearing back though

Bike is super smooth now (I thought it was smooth before), no stuttering, no popping, no hesitation, still runs cool, and has a lot more power than I had before.

I know that the posted numbers can change from machine to machine so I don't put a ton of stock in them, however the difference between before (Fuelmoto tune) to after is amazing!

Original HP: 66.04 After HP: 79.29
Original Torque: 73.06 After Torque: 82.90 Over 70 ft/lbs at beginning of sample @ 1800rpm and damn near flat.

The original tune was at 11:1-12.5:1 AFR Never even got to 13:1
Now I'm at a flat 13.5 at WOT and 14 under normal loads.

Moral of the story: There is no seat of the pants way to get it this dialed in. My cylinders were significatly different in tune. HUGE difference.

If I had to do it again, I would still buy from Jamie. Great price, great service, and the map did work and prevent any damage to my bike. I would just have dyno tuned right away.

Ok, thanks for listening... I'm just a bit exited! I still have to wait to see on fuel mileage, but it has to be a ton better with the AFR changes.

Oya, the dyno is a fun tool. I could play with that thing all day long!

Thanks for sharing...I'm still running with the stock canned map I downloaded off the CD...maybe I should start saving up my change. Bike runs well enough (no pops, stumbles etc. and decent gas mileage)but I've been hearing too many good things/happy riders after the dyno session.

I bought my PCIII from fuelmoto also, but plan to have it dynotuned when the weather is better. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost? There is a local shop in the area that I heard does good work and has a DYNOJET 250i, I know nothing of the machine, but hope it does A/F samples as well.

Cost was $375 here in NorCal. A lot of money, but worth it. If they don't have the tools, I wouldn't let them do the work.

Ok, I couldn't wait to scan it tomorrow. Here is a photo of the dyno sheet!

Check out how flat the AFR is...

Rhubarb,
Bob did mine last Friday! After I installed the rush mufflers with the 2.0 baffles on Thursday, I needed to be assured that my ride was tuned properly. Bob really knows his stuff huh? I went with the sert, big hp and torque improvement (gained 6hp & 5#'s of tq).
