Why don't you have a windshield?

Mine is easy on and easy off...mostly it's off.
Had a guy in a parking lot in Missouri approach me this summer. My Fatbob was loaded up with a pack and saddlebags, just enough stuff for me. He said, " You should just get a touring bike". I answered back,"It is a touring bike".
He looked at my license plate and then said,"I guess it is". The look on his face said it all.

The windshield posts always bring out the posers. If ya get wind and bugs in yur face BUT you look cool doing it, its worth it.......Right??? Never seen anybody washing the bugs off their glasses that looked cool. But to each his own. I love my wind shield.

I took no offense to your original post.
This ***** azz oldtimer has a sense of humor and was just jabbing back.
I rode Monday & Tuesday but the crap you were getting has now worked its way to northern Pennsylvania. I will continue to ride until they start salting the roads.
Peace!!

Lots of diffrent opinions gotta love it. the main thing to the post was being told to put one on my bike that's all. If I want one i'll run it if i dont i wont just dont tell me what to do it's my bike, unless of coourse you want to make the payments then i'll consider the windshield. the gov already tells me what to do enough dont need another *** i barely know telling me too...

That's a good question. I think I like the feeling of the air on me, even when its a strong head wind. I've never had a shield and everyone says if I get one I won't go back. I'll hold off as long as I can.
I'm 53 and rode my superglide across Canada last summer...without a windshield.
