Why don't you have a windshield?

Windshields are great in cold weather. If I had to decide to use the windshield or to not ride, guess which on I'll choose?

I love riding without a windshield until I moved to South Florida. I've been hit by flying insects as large as a small bird in the face. Been stung 5 times within several months by bees, wasp and a hornet that got stuck inside my shirt. The hornet I counted as one sting but that sucker gave my back several welts. Then my shades get caked with dead flying insects along with whatever am wearing.
Then there's the love bugs twice a year down here. We still have flying insects down here for the second straight December in a row. It just hasn't gotten cold enough to hibernate them in more than 2 years.
Now that I'm back on a bagger, after every ride I got bugs to wash off my shield, fairing, lowers and forks.
So I guess it depends where you ride. Hawaii wasn't nearly as bad as South Florida when I was stationed there in the early '80's.

but.....
back to the point......
when folks ask me "why don't you have <fill in the blank>?
My reply is " when YOU buy it, and give it to me..... then I'll have it..... otherwise, I don't want it"
