Seems a lot of folks get caught up in how the bike looks with a windshield and that's why they don't use one. If you enjoy riding without a shield for long distances then again more power to you.
i ride long distance in the cold. not running a shield has never been about looks to me , I just don't like them in front of me. I don't know how to explain it , but without a shield the view is open and crisp, behind a shield ( even looking over one ) a lot of the view just seems muddied up...I don't know how to say what I mean , but I bet folks like me that don't run them understand what I am meaning.

I understand where you're coming from and when it's warm out my shield comes off and stays off except if I'm doing an overnight run on the highway.

Default To shield or not to shield

Anyways last year I ran with no shield this year I ran with one. My windshield will stay on because it makes me feel comfortable and keeps me cleaner when I ride. If I wanted to look cool I would put stickers on it, that would make me look cool as if I care.

Some of us have PASSENGERS that request, desire or prefer a windshield as well. I'm not going to deny my fiance comfort so we can "look cool" or feel a "stiff breeze".
