Why don't you have a windshield?

I don't like the look of MY bike with a windshield (or saddle bags), but I also don't like feeling worn out after 50 miles at hiway speeds. Not to mention my cheeks flapping in the wind like a Beagles jowls. lol I have a quick detachable style and would take it off after I reached my destination. A couple of years ago I got a FF helmet to use during cold/inclement weather. I liked it so much that the windshield came off and the FF stays on.
I'm just happy that at 68 I'm still riding, and haven't felt the need to move to a bagger yet.

One thing that has always amazed me is the amount of discomfort a poser will go thru to look cool on his bike. Different strokes for different folks but there is no way anyone will convince me that riding without a shield is more comfortable. If this is true how many of these posers have taken the windshield out of their car because it's more comfortable or safer???? Just stirring the pot. lol

I'm 53 still don't see the need for a shield - rain or shine, short trips or long road trips. But that's me and my choice, I don't care what others think or do as long as they don't think they have the right to tell me what to think or do.

Riding is all about the wind in your face and enjoying the ride. At 52 with over 40 years on 2 wheels, of one kind or another, I still can't stand windshields, and yes I have tried it, just not my thing. To each their own.
Someone mentioned Florida bugs, that is what got me to buy one, damn those things are thick on the backroads after dark....
