Anyway, riding without a windshield makes your bike look cooler. And makes the rider look and feel multiple times cooler. To the point where you're absolutely frozen at times. Curse this European weather.
I guess you care what strangers think of you? I sure as hell don't. I'd rather do something "uncool" and have a better ride. But that's just me.

Just don't like the way they look......... If it's for you, great, but if not then so be it...... a bike is all about personal preference.

I've never liked them or the way they look. I've always liked the wind in my face. My new helmet, a HJC CL-33, has a face shield and that's the closest I'll get to one. I might take it off in the summer!

The only place a WS looks good is on a Touring Bike! IMHO My WG will never ever see a fugly WS covering her sexy lines!

When I don't want a teeth full of bugs I ride my FL, when I want the in the wild freedom I ride my DYNA. It does help to have 2 bikes for my different personalities. No I am not a RUB or Wallet biker either I just choose to drive a POS car and 1984 Ford Truck so I can have 2 nice bikes!

I was just making a joke, cool, cold, freezing? I am aware it wasn't utterly hilarious. I think you missed the point though, I think fairings are (only just) more aesthetically pleasing than a windshield but neither is to my taste in terms of appearance. I bought my bike in Summer and so focused on a stage 1 and a new seat so I can't afford a fairing yet. When I do have a fairing it won't be my bike looking it's best, but it's still my bike. I'm like a father to it, I'll love it no matter how ugly she is on any given day. With or without grandpa's windshield.

I think it ruins the look of the bike, so I leave it off. Also too much top end noise with the shield on.

No kind of extended riding in the cold anyway (by extended I mean beyond my 40min ride to work in the AM - which I can just bundle up down to the upper 20s).

Extended highway, sure.
