Hope they aren't as expensive as the Pilot Sports on my Crossfire. Out of curiosity I priced them out online, holy crap, $304.00 for each rear and just over $200.00 for each front.[sm=jawdrop.gif]
I bought a set of Michelin commanders online for $76.00 front and 92.00 rear. With shipping it was under $200.00....BTW...those are both oversized 150/80/16's

Sounds like their made in the good ol' U.S.A.?

Ride safe,
That would be a great idea, American tires on an American motorcycle. I hope that they don't try to cheap out and have the Michelin's made elsewhere, like from the Far East, that would be too much.

Hey Sea Hag, I have a 05 E-glide and need a new rear soon, did the 150/80 16 fit without mods?
Did it throw of your speedo (was it a taller tire)?I am thinking of using a Michelin replacement
for the original dunlop.

My Metzlers are made in Brazil. They are SO much better than the Dunlops, I will never go back to those. And they work well with my H-D Taiwan brake calipers.

Exactly! It's not about American Made, it's about supporting ANY FRENCH COMPANY! The Americans that work there, well, I guess they should have picked a better place to work, if they want me to help them keep their job.

I am French. Both sides of my family. I am an American by birth, 4th generation, and I have no love aymore for France. My father doesn't even talk to the half of our family over there any more. So, yes....I can talk!

They are arrogant a$$holes. The last time the French did anything was when Napoleon was in charge. They know it too, that's why they still have Napoleon's coffin lying in state to this day in Paris.

I had to shim out my drive pulley 1/8". Other than that, no mods. You likely wouldn't have to do that as 04 and up bikes got the thinner drive belts and come stock with a slightly wider tire. I've heard many people with 04+ bikes say they run the 150's with no mods.

As for the speedo, it still reads right on with the law enforcement 'reminder' boxes they have by the roadside in the summer....but it is just slightly taller...maybe 1/4-3/8"

Notice that according to the original post, Michelin is ADDED as a supplier. There's nothing there about Dunlop going away.
