And a lock out at their York Plant. French priminister promises a Carbon Tax on American goods exported to the European Union. Another European trade barrier if we don't sign the Kyoto treaty.
I knew it was all about money and nothing about global warming and the environment.

Those are Metzler NOT Michelin!
Bounty: In the corporate world Metzeler is a brand/division of Michelin. Same as Donlop being a brand/division of Goodyear. (I didn't realize the Donlop/Goodyear tie in until reading HDF. Anything Goodyear is crapIMO, but that's another thread...)

EDIT: I'm an idiot - Metzeler is part of Pirelli

The big question is: Will Michelinuse one of their excellent off-the-shelf tires for H-D or will they build an H-D spec, low bid, cheapOEM tire?

Plenty in this threadto feed the OEM vs. regular tire conspiracy theorists and the OneWorldGoverment paranoids...

Does Pirelli still make tires compatible with current Harley's?

Wonder if this is due to the recent Dunlop Strike that left a shortage of motorcycle tires?
Yes it did according to my dealer.

Chalk another one up to Organized Labor. The loss of a supply contract with HD could mean a bunch of $$$$ if you consider all the bikes made every year that comes with Dunlopas well as the people that replace worn tires with OEM.

Bill
