Personal info...What brand or type of footwear?

RE: Personal info...What brand or type of footwear?
Depends on the Wx and what I am doing.
1. If it's cold I wear 400 gram Thinsolate Irish Setter hunting boots.
2. If it's kinda cold and I'm going to be running at highway speeds, I wear the16" high, lined loggers.
3. Steel toe lineman's boots 12" high are the default ridng boot or Engineer's BootswithVibram sole and logger heel.
I have a wide foot and HD boots (Wolverine) are not typically made in wide.
The above four pairs are my mainstay in riding boots. When at Bike Week or something similar where you do a good amount of walking some days with less riding, I may go with a lighter work boot that may not offer the protection from riding hazards that a riding boot will but are more comfortable for walking.
If I had to have one pair to do everything, Redwing or Danner would be my first choices and a steel toe lace up with a logger/Vibram sole. Good, sturdy, heavy, protectiveboots for riding may not be the best for walking.

Bates Durashocks, most comfortable boots I've ever worn even with steel toes. Love my Chippewa engineer boots, they are 27 years old and still in good shape.

I run with Timberline Pro boots. I been using this brand of boots for the past 7 years. Even the shoe laces last as long as the boot itself. When they say water proof, beleive it. I can stand in water and not get wet feet. I wear these boots every day and night. As a matter of fact it is the only footware I have. They usually last about 1 1/2 to 2 years before replacing. I really like them and the price is right, about $100 bucks!!

Right now I'm wearing some Salomon Conta Grips. There basically hiking/sneakers. They absolutely refuse to wear out. If you are looking for some dark colored tennis shoes, the soles on these things last longer than any I've ever seen.
