I brought these speakers for my 2011 street glide. Since installing them I am having a lot of problems with the frequency fading in and out. The Ipod sounds great but the radio fades. I have a cousin that has the same speakers and having the same problem. I called J&M and they said they never heard of such a problem so no help there. Everytime their at a show it sounds great but they always either playing a cd or ipod. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be. I am running a 250watt amp with lower fairing speakers (HD upgrade system). Thanks

 

I replaced my stock fairing speakers with the J&M 7.25s and it hasn't missed a beat. I'm very happy with them and sorry for your problems. I'd check the connections again. Seems most of my problems in the past with electrical issues has been a bad connection. Hope you can work it out. I'm not running an amp. 2010 Street glide.

 

If the Ipod sounds great and the radio fades doesnt that point to a radio problem not a speaker problem? I have the 7.25s also and mine are fine, the radio sucks but I have a hidden antenna so I mostly listen to my Ipo hooked up unless I am in town.

 

Yeah this definitely a radio / antenna issue. The speakers have no way of knowing you are using your Ipod or CD. Either you send them a good signal or you don't and radio isn't.
