Who doesn't run passing lights? Does it really make a difference?

Same here and for the same reasons. I also find that I can see the suicidal nightlife a lot better.

Ah, one good point about the Electra/Ultra vs. the SG is the daytime visibility with the running lamps. Although the styling isn't so hot, it's definitely better than a big single.
