Best deal before or after Xmas , Harley Dealers ?
Hi,
Am about to bite the bullet and get a new Harley in the UK.
Does anyone know if you're more likely to get a better deal, before or after xmas ? Just thinking about when they would be a bit more desperate to shift some stock.
Cheers in advance

I don't think christmas would have anything to do with it. Prices will drop when dealers are trying to move in new model year bikes, usually in July/August around here. Or you are likely to find a good deal when a particular bike has been sitting in the showroom for over 6 months or so. I don't think dealers operate on a calendar year fiscal cycle, so there isn't any extra motivation so sell bikes before the first of the year.

I think you're best bet is definately after Xmas. Everything is marked down right now to try and move as much as possible before Xmas, but after Xmas the clearance sales will roll out. As far as buying a bike, wait til Feb or March when the salesmen haven't made any commissions on sales for a month or two. They'll be pretty hungary.

I'd try on December 31st. Maybe they will need to pad the end of month and maybe end of year sales total.

Yep,around here after Thanksgiving the dealers want to move product. They want to make year end sale goals, and since our pp taxes are due in December they want them out! That said you will still have to shop aground, but if you do your homework, you should do quite nicely for yourself.

I'm in the UK too. I often get phone calls from a couple of local(ish) dealers offering me good deals now, and it's cos they want to shift extra units to meet their sales targets and trigger their next discount level.
I've heard they aren't allowed to discount bikes, but the extras value offered can be absolutely silly. And I mean SILLY.
