Aside from the 13K I've but on my bike since I took delivery in February, I'm the poster boy for a wallet biker. I have a whole stack of HD T-shirts, FXRG riding gear and yes even a Harley wallet. Never did any kind of work on my own bike until last night when I got adventurous and did a Stage 1 upgrade all by myself. (Using my overpriced HD branded premium tool kit).
I wear the title with pride and have no problem laughing at myself about it. It's the main reason I chose Dudley as my avatar picture.
I might change my own oil but my wife yells at me when I dump the old stuff down the kitchen sink.

I don't care if I'm called a wallet biker or not. I work hard for the little money I get, and I'm always thinking of what parts to put on my bike next :-)
I do virtually none of the work on it because I don't have the tool/time/know-how to do it, let alone if I mess up something major, or find out later that my work caused something wrong,,,
and I'd rather be out riding! So might as well let someone work on it who actually knows his way around the bike.
I can talk the mechanic talk, but when walking the walk I feel like I'm on a balance beam!

Some guys just can't stand to see someone else who did what they could have done, but decided against it 20 years ago, and now they are paying the price.
Without an education, you are nothing more than a disposable worker. FACT.
Too cool for school fk'n sucks when you hit 40 and look back.
