Lookie what I found
I was about a hundred miles from home on my lat ride. I took a break and happened to look down at my rear tire
This is what I saw.....this is a tubeless tire on an aluminum wheel
it is a 140/90/16 Metz 880 with less than 2K on it.
Check your tires....not just the air pressure

I will have to look at the date code. When you look close, it appears they may be old tires...kinda looks a little like dry rot or cracking in the tread.
My pick up tires have done this too
The tire has deep tread, the picture just makes it not look like it
The Indy where I bought them is going to stand behind it, but....I was thinking about some commander II this winter and putting the Metz on my back up spoke rims

This summer I found a very similar tire issue on my camper. I took it in to get it replaced. The tire guy said I was very lucky to have found it before we headed out on the road with it. I then told him I found it after we had returned from a 300 mile round trip camping trip. He pondered that for a second, then said that I was indeed VERY lucky. I would say the same about you. When My tire looked like that, I still had 3 more on the trailer. You would not be as fortunate.

I think date codes on tires are pretty much universal, if I'm not mistaken.
Example: DOT EB OK E224 1604
You just skip to the last 4 digits (1604), and it tells you that the tire was manufactured in the 16th week of 2004.
