Default How many drink and ride?

I have been riding for over 35 years. When doing poker runs, I am amazed how many riders drink alcohol at every stop. Many have more than one drink, and continue to ride. Im not against drinking, but I dont believe alcohol and motorcycles go together. I spent 25years in EMS, and have seen my share of motorcycle crashes. Just curious as to your thoughts about drinking and riding.

I've been riding for over 45 years.

I can honestly say that I have never had even one drink and then driven my bike in all those years, nor would I.

Been there, done that. Never again. It's cost me a lot of money in years past, and luckily I never hurt anyone. I'm not going to judge other people for their actions as I see a lot of them drinking (and some heavily) and riding, but this rider will never drink and drive again.

I won't ride with guys that drink while were out riding. They tend to get sloppy and dangerous.,,

Two, sometimes three times a week, I will stop at bar on way home from work and have 2-3 beers with my friends over 1.5-2 hours. No big deal. It's the only time I ever drink, and I do mean ever. Hasn't been any beer in my house in many years, and have booze on my shelf that has been sitting there for 10 years. Hey...must be nicely aged by now! LOL

Done it. Have the dent in the oil tank to prove it. Small town no cops no biggie.

I'll usually do one beer and only a second if I plan to be there for a good while. After that I switch to Diet Coke.

I don’t but then again I don’t drink and drive cars either. Can’t afford a DUI and couldn’t live with myself if I killed someone because I was impaired.
