RE: Silly questions or Funny things said?
Funny thing is, I seem to be more approachable when I'm all leathered up. I've had people come up and talk to me that otherwise probably wouldn't give me a second notice. A lot of times little old ladies (70 plus) who say how they wish they were young enough to ride. I tell them to hop on. They just blush and laugh.

a female cousin of mine is fairly new to the harley culture and she tries hard. i saw her and her husband at a motorcycle event and i had my rat shovel there. she wanted to go look at it so we walked over to it and she asked "is that a panhandle"? i said "no, it's a shovelhandle".

My wife gets the same thing, drives her nuts. She also hates when people ask "how do you drive that big thing" that's when I pipe up and say "she's had a lot of practice" and point to just below my belt buckle, that usually makes them shut up and walk away as I bust out laughing.
This happened to my wife about 5 months ago, she's talking with a new guy to her companyfrom a differnt division in Texas, as there talking in her office and she's explaining things he stops in midsentence and stares at the wall of her office, she asks if he's o.k. and he says you ride a motorcycle? a harley? she says yes why? I see the pictures on your wall (theres some of her and I on our bikes) he says. She says is there a problem? He says stammering no, but I'm intimidated now. She says what!? He says I'm intimidated. She gets home and tells me this as she's crying from laughing so hard at this yuppy.
Anyway, that's been 5 months or so ago and she says he avoids her at all costs.
pretty intimidating, huh? (see pic)
