Default Wife picked up a new to her fat boy, need opinions

We picked up a fat boy for my wife on Saturday and she's thinking that she should put an engine gaurd on it but is not sure of two things; How's it going to look and will one fit with the forward pegs that are on the bike (see pic)
We have plenty of time to think about, no riding here in wisconsin for a few months yet but wanted some opinions.

Oh yeah, anyone looking for an 02 883C, I have one for sale, lol

No, just no. Engine guards are crap and I wouldn't waste my money.

Don't care too much for engine guards myself but can see why people would get them. From your footpeg setup it doesn't look like you have room for one anyway. Could tell more if the pic was from the side or quartering from the front.

If that is stock floorboard setup, you will have space for an engine guard, but I am with the rest, I don't care for tehm too much. In case of a spill they really can help though. mY fatboy had engine guards on t when I got it. That one of the first things I took off...

That is my thought, not enough room, only other pic I have at the present time, not sure if it helps or not.

Very nice looking FatBoy.

I've never been a fan of engine guards, but I can see where they might come in handy.

Anyway, enjoy the bike!!

The guard saved my legs when I went down. The wife wouldn't touch her new Deluxe until I put one on. Kinda likea helmet, great when you need it, but doesn't do much when you don't. Who can predict when you might need it though??

You know steroids would also help lift the bike up if you dropped it, wouldn't recommend those either.

Yeah I'm a wise ***.

It's basically a personal choice, you can integrate the footpegs on the engine guard and ditch the mustache bar or whatever that is.

That is why engine guards are bolt on, not weld on, it is all about preference.
