Default Helmet advice needed.

I'm looking for a good helmet and having some difficulty finding what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a half helmet with a quick release built into the strap, but all I can find is helmets with d-rings. I live close to J&P cycles and I went there the other day and bought a quick release, but it's cheap and looks like it came out of a gumball machine. Anybody know of a manufacturer that sells helmets with quick release hardware?

Thanks,

Matt

Nothing wrong with a D ring once you get used to it. It is a bitch when your fingers are real cold though.

Skull Crush will make you one with either a quick release or D-ring, it's your choice.

I am looking at the GMAX GM67 helmet, many good features and quick release, avail for $70 on sale. Several add-on quick release buckles avail on Amazon and E bay. The metal ones rust and the plastic ones wont stay tight. I run the push together plastic buckle on my helmets, they work ok. About $8 on Amazon. If you are looking for a helmet, you may want to ck out the closeout sections at these web sites, www.jafrum.com, www.leatherup.com, or www.motorcyclegear.com.

I love my Nolan Super Cruise. Very well made, comfortable and the quick release works great.

That's exactly what I found with the add on quick releases, I prefer the ones that are more like seat belt buckles. I'm going to get a 1/2 helmet for around town and a full face for on the highway. I hate wearing a helmet at all, but I'm a paramedic and I've been on too many bad calls for guys wthout helmets.
