Go to the drag strip or flat track/TT races.

The white bike is the 124" an excellent cruiser and surprises a lot of people with it's passing power even with wife on back.
The black bike the 155" now running with bags no windshield or front crashbar.
The V8 bike is getting a new motor, an all aluminum Donovan SB2 427" the picture has the main tank off getting ready for the swap.

Must be an insane bike to ride, be like sitting ontop of a rocket wouldn't it?

I used to spend many a Wednesday night down at Englishtown, NJ watching all the local, and some not so local, hot doggers beating their machines down the track. You could walk the pits and hang with all the drivers and their machines. Everything from street legals to funny cars to Kawasakis (they were the fastest at the time) and yes even a few Harleys thrown in to the mix! It would be funny as heck to watch a Kawasaki pull a 9 second quarter and then watch 2 Harleys duke it out in the 14 to 15 second range.

I stopped going when one night the wife and I were walking the pits and some guy decided to fire up his funny car at the precise moment the wife was next to it. The wife shot straight up into the air (almost 2 feet) and when she regained her senses we left never to return there as a couple again! She was a good sport about it but lost her enthusiasm right there, on the spot.

HD racing is different from BMW and Duc. They're mostly in drag racing compared to the road course races you see from the imports. HD also murdered off Buell which pretty much did in all of their non straight line racing.

Will find out next season. The motor in the bike now is a 406" 580dynoed hp.It is amazing how hard these things pull. The secret to making them go is rear rubber (car tire wide and sticky)just enough throttle to keep the tire making noise and keep them aimed straight ahead. The higher hp V8 bikes break the tire loose very easy even at higher speeds 75 to 100mph.
The SB2 should be in the 800hp range will take what the tune gives with mufflers.

If you want to see Harleys racing, wait about 5 minutes after the BMW's and Ducati's go by.
