Haha, so much for getting a touring bike

Wife says that about my StreetGlide all the time. Funny thing is, she doesn't complain when she climbs on back atop that comfy Sundowner seat, right after she throws her crap in my saddlebags. And she sure as hell doesn say **** when she asks me to crank up the tunes on the radio all while kicked back on that backrest. I stopped caring about what she thinks a long time ago. RoadKing is a nice option too, would have been my second choice.

It is whatever you like and if you ride two-up that can make a difference in the comfort as well. I bought my Ltd, based upon my comfort, and what I like, but did listen to what my wife thought about the model and color, but at the end of the day the wife has her own ride, so it was what I enjoy riding. Not sure if it is an old mans ride or not, don't really care either. Might suggest some HD Model test rides though if you do decide to change models.

I didnt cave that fast, I pressed her a little more and tried to explain how it was a cool bike, etc. The clincher was when she said that she thought the "baskets" on the back looked strange. She rarely rides so she doesnt care about the comfort so based on looks alone shes not digging it. Although looking at the above bike im still thinking about it though.....

Who cares what a girl that isn't even into bikes thinks?? Are you gonna survey the rest of your family to find out how cool they think a bike is before you buy one?
Baggers are appreciated by those who love to tour. Those who just boot around won't understand it. If you go to the "touring" section of the forum there's a thread about how old touring bike owners are and there are a TON in their 20's and 30's.
Just depends on the type of riding you do.
