It is a great story in itself. For some reason, I would have liked the MOCO to send the dude a new one in exchange.

The tsunami.....that was tragedy beyond words.

A sad story indeed. As I recall a dealer close to where it was found offered to rebuild and return it, but the owner is not able to accept. We have another thread here on HDF that traces the story at the time, with more details.

Thanks for the post....I remember the initial report but had not read anything further until your post.

I do not come on here much anymore and after reading yet another but new waving thread I was about to disappear for another 6 months or so.

Guess I will stay on a bit longer to see if there are any other signs of intelligent life left.

The web page doesn't indicate anything has changed as far as entry fee. $16 for adults and $10 on Tuesdays

This was the last paragraph of the article.
The bike went on display Wednesday with an explanation of its disastrous back story. The Harley-Davidson Museum at 400 W. Canal St. open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily and until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Admission is $16 for adults, $10 for children 5 to 17. (877) 436-8738.
