Default Put her to bed today...

This morning rode to HD Dealership. Had them do the 1000 mile oil change and look over. Bought some Stabil, added it to the tank. Rode to the Garage Rental, pulled the seats and battery, then covered her with sheets, put the battery on the Tender and we will see her this Spring. YMMV...

Fibber, you are going to be sneaking by to see how she's doing, and occassionally bringing gifts to make her prettier too.

Not looking forward to it at all but I'd say I have about a month left before mine goes away... Riding it to work as much as I can till then. Oil change, battery tender, and a sheet over her until March/April.

I don't love as far north as you but last winter in Oklahoma was extremely mild. I rode at least once a week all winter, hoping for the same this year. That being said, it is supposed to drop down into the the 20's tonight.

Geez, I live 90 miles north of Peoria and I'm not even close to putting them away.

Put 120 miles today in mid 40's temp. 150 miles yesterday in rain and upper forties. 250 miles Wednesday in sunny skies and upper 70's.

I'm looking forward to the first big snow when I take the Russian Ural side car with 2WD out to see how it does.

My storage involves cutting the insurance off and because last winter was so mild that I could have kicked myself, I will leave two of them insured through the winter.

If I lived in Cali I'd have 100k on my bike by now or at least have a second or third to help spread the workload... Soon I'll be packing and heading out of godforsaken New England. To a warmer place and start growing the stable!
