One thing about this discussionis that the word custom means different things to different people. I don't look atBig Dog, American Ironhorse, or even the production bikes built by OCC and Jesse James as customs. A custom is a one-off bike built by an individual or a couple people.

My last new Harley became a custom shortly after I got it home.The exhaust was changed the carb, the ignition,the drive was modified,you know.The bottom line is, any machine can be very reliable provided it assembled with TLC,no matter who's name is on the side.

You can spend $40,000 on a new shiny custom with an S&S big motor, fancy paint, and a big tire......Guess what? It ain't a Harley and never will be. Custom S&S big dog, big bear, Arlen Ness, Jessy James, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, they are all the same. They ain't a Harley and never will be! I say stick with the one and only original.
