The only thing that keeps me off the road Nov-March is salt. Once they start putting salt down I wait until a couple of good rainstorms wash it away. We ride our police bikes year 'round, sidecars in the winter. The salt tears them up!

 

Riding season is almost here in Phoenix...

I do ride year round, but in the summer I get the heck out of town early to head north to the mountains, and I do not enjoy the blast furnace effect of returning to the desert.

But for the next 7 months, I plan to enjoy great riding. Still have the high country for a couple of months, too.

So, come to AZ and rent yourself a bike when you just can't take any more!

 

In the past I have ridden if it was a clear day, temps in the 20's and rising.

But this winter, I plan to go out more with this:



Shouldn't get stuck or fall over. 2WD!

 

Hopefully today is the start of the really good riding weather of the year. Weatherman says the wet season is over.

 

Still fairly nice here. I figure a month or so more to ride, albeit with heated gear. We're considering a ride down to Biketoberfest next week as well.

 

man it was 58* when I left this morning.....I've got another month at least before I put the liner back in my jacket.

 

Sometimes I have to wear a coat over my tshirt.
