I don't believe there is any clearcoat on the finish because HD claims it will wear like a pair of jeans. (Denim)
I guess it's for some, but definitely not for me..

 

They do have a clear coat, it just isn't a glossy finish. It will be a problem thoughif you rub it and cause a shiny spot.

Mine gets rubbed alot,, it no shine!!!!!!!

 

The denims make a nice undercoat. How do they rub out if you get a scratch?

I love the HD Denims, I had an 07 Night Train in Pewter Denim, now I have a 07 Street Glide in the Pacific Blue denim. Everytime I park it somewhere i get people asking me questions about the paint. And just so everyone out there knows, the denims DO have a clear on them, it's just a flat finish as opposed to the gloss. Also it's my understanding that the pacific blue denim was only used in 2007.
