Okay, then I'm just expecting too much - especially since adding the 21's, you just can't possibly keep from twisting the wick just a little bit thru each gear to love that back massage you get from the seat pushing you ahead...
Nothing like always being in your power band, and not even jammin' it hard...but the fuel consumption I was sure could improve.
You had more buks than I did - a new carb isn't in the works for now (bad economy), and related sites on CV carb mods differ to stay with them over the mikuni - I wonder what's up with that?
http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/hd_cv_mods.htm
and there's some really good tips in here:

The question arises between you and I, is the money spent on the mikuni well worth the effort or just a slightly better version of the CV.
And since they're kissin' cousins, what jets are working with these cams?

I just did the math I fill my tank to the brim each time and at 180 miles when I stop I add just about 4 gallons even that comes out to like 44 mpg.....keep in mind I live in new jersey and can't go more then a mile before setting at a light so it's hard to get any mileage so 44 for city riding is good to me

Funny ****! I usually ride easy, get on the bike once in awhile when I'm taking off. Don't have a tach so I'd be guessing. As far as the pipes go, they're Big Radius (sig pic). I ride city mostly and only solo.

Thanks

U'll get a lot of others that will say I love my cam in here,,, but to get one that truly meets Ur needs,, at least say what the fu(k they are...

U didn't even say what V&H 2-2 pipes U have, Come dude.. if U ask for help at least put in enough info so we can truly help Ya..

If Ur running BBL's or Shorts. then You've already killed Ur low end..

After looking at hunderd's and hundre's of sheets the BR's 2-2 or BSS'er make the best over-all #'s

Do U ride mostly Solo????
Do u mostly ride in town or Hiway.???

Right now after I've studied bolt in cams for 5yrs,,, IMHO,, if I was today going to put in new cams.....

I'd for sure do the "NEW" Bob Woods 222's.... I just looked at there spec's last week for the first time....

IMO they have the best timing events of any bolt in cam for an other wise stock motor, and with the 34* IC and overlap they will make good power above 2k rpms and still produce up till the lines cross at 5200 rpms all the while the CCP is easy on the starter and will not be a PINGER problem...

Woods cams has always be the top choice cams,, Now this new 222 fills in the bolt in cam choice perfect..

Wish I had the option of this cam 4 yrs ago....

I appreciate all your comments! Not going to do a 95 build in the near future. A simple cam job will spruce the engine up enough for the way I ride. Leaning towards the 21 myself.

All I know is the 21 puts the seat in your back and a smile on your face through every dang gear! YUGE FUN!
