ABS, dealer add on?
Today a dealer rep told me if I wanted a bike on the floor that doesn't have ABS/security and cruise they'll add it, that it doesn't have to be factory installed. Is that correct? I thought those had to be factory installed. Thanks.

cruise yes-----------------abs isn't cost effective with the parts you have to buy .You wouldn't believe all the people that think if they have cruise they have abs

Any thing is possible but all the components, software and and plumbing would make it highly unlikely. If possible the labor would be huge.

Smells fishy to me. Might dig into that a little deeper and demand some details.

That's what I was thinking, ABS is so complex it has to be done at the factory or not at all. I think it was an eager salesperson telling me what I'd want to hear. I'm thinking around Dec. 28-29 might be a good time to get a new bike since:
1. It's not riding season so it's not selling season and every sale is more important.
2. It's the end of the month and they need to make monthly quota.
3. It's the end of the year and they need to make annual quota.
4. They have to pay tax on any unsold inventory as of 1/1 so they need inventory off the books in December.
