That's why I go with the clear lenses at night. The yellow and blue ones freak me out...

I use the day/night Panoptx Diablos. I like them because I like the fact that they are an all in one type deal. This, and that they also have an insert (which you can take on and off at will) which guards against the wind for highway riding. To me, yellow lenses just have some sort of 'illusionary' effect on things. Reminded me of back in the day when..........Oh, nevermind.

The only sun glasses I wear are yellow/amber. I only use them at night if I'm on a road with lots of oncoming traffic or if I'm wearing my 3/4 helmet.

The simple answer to the question is this: depends on your riding environment.

I work in an optical laboratory here at work - I do this stuff all day long.

If you ride on roads that have little to no cars on it and you rarely see an oncoming headlight - then I recommend going with clear - due to animals. Haven't seen a deer yet with high beams.

If you ride where there is medium to heavy traffic and oncoming headlights are often - the yellow ones will make it easier on the retina in your eyes.

As far as daytime riding - brown lenses are the best for your eyes. Believe it or not! The smoke or grey ones don't perform like the brown lenses do.

If you want more info please PM me.

I use yella lenses at night, exclusively. It will change the hue of many things, but not enough to matter.

i use yellow. it doesn't seem to brighten up the road too much, but it does really help with oncoming traffic.

I have interchangable lenses and use high intensity yellow for dusk to dawn riding. If I am riding and the sun comes up I pull over and change the lenses. I can not wear the yellow in the sun, it is just to bright. If you are really interested go to oakley.com they have a ton of info on light refractions and day night lighting.
