Default 3M vinyl wrap on forks

Anyone tried this or any variation of it?

I used glossy black 3M auto vinyl wrap to cover the middle portion of my forks.....I like the way it looks....

post your pictures if you've tried this.....I know a lot of you guys have tried the plasti dip but I'm hoping this thread can be used for vinyl wrap experiences.....

I would like it better if it went all the way to the bottom of the fork. Down here in Fl. the salt really does a number on the forks. Some get them powder coated, but is much more costly. Good idea

you're absolutely right from a protection standpoint....I actually did it cause I like the way it looks....also, I did it without removing the front wheel...

the bottom portion of the forks seems kind of tricky to wrap because of the calipers, etc....you would probably need to use a heat gun to properly wrap it. I suggest if anyone wants to do a good job they remove the wheel. Mine came out pretty good but could have been better.....the first time I tried it the results weren't so good....had to redo it....

it would be a great alternative to chroming the lowers if someone wants to buy chrome 3M and wrap the entire lower part.....

2ND PIC....how the hell did you manage to get your bike to stay on the wall like that? jk...I'm not a fan of the black wrap, but I can understand wrapping in areas of high salt content, either in the atmosphere or on the roads.

I liquid nail my bike to the wall every night in order to prevent theft so far it's worked but it's a real bitch having to replace the tires every morning before riding...
