Heated Gear Gerrbing vs First Gear
Looking for heated gear at least a jacket liner and gloves and after reading reviews it looks like its down to these two brands. Some donot like Gerrbings controllers. " I am researched brain dead" who has what out there and what do you like and dislike? Would you buy it again? Thanks for the help.

Gerbings (but admittedly I don't have experience with FirstGear). Just make sure you get the microwire stuff, its standard now but some dealers may have some old stock of the old pre-microwire stuff. You probably already know this but the HD branded stuff is made by Gerbings. On the Gerbings site, I saw they have some good clearance stuff right now.
Get the dual controller too (even if you only buy one garment), its easy to use and you don't want to be stuck with the on/off switches that come with the gear

Might want to look into Powerlet with the radiant technology. I have their glove liners. Thin, no wires and work very well.

I don't have any experiance with First Gear, but my Gerbing's jacket liner and gloves have been great. I've heard that some of the older Gerbings controllers had issues, but mine (about 1 1/2 year old) has been trouble free.

Many of Gerbings microwire gLoves (which includes Harley-Davidson branded) only heat on the back side! Be VERY careful what you're buying because Gerbings claims that this is not a defect even though their current production does heat on both sides!

Its a home made stainless steel plate that i mounted the controller to. It does not touch the tank and uses the rear tank bolt to mount it. Pretty simple if you want more pics for a DIY.
