Default Streetglide Handlebars

I have a 2012 Streetglide that I would like taller handlebars on without changing the cables. The clutch cable would be fine, but the others I don't want to mess with. Stock handle bars are 8" so I am looking for 10". I would like to know what to go for to achieve this. Thanks

The question is what?

Do you want 10 inch bars?
I wanted 16 inch and searched till I found a set I liked

Personally I'd go more then 2 inches ....that's a lot of work

thanks for your posts guys. Well i want to go a couple inches taller than stock because I want my hands blocked from the fairing yet, but want my arms more shoulder level. Plus I do not want to change cables so I believe 10" bars woudl work, but which ones. I talked with Paul Yaffe on his mini ape 10" bars and he said you have to change cables, but his measure differently which they act like a 12". So thats why I am asking other forum members on this to see if anyone has done this with the 10" or slightly higher than stock. I will have to look into those ergo bars if they are a little taller. There was a guy selling 10" bars on here and he did not have to change any cables, but I do not remember what bars they were and I cannot find him.

From what I am looking at is a choice of a few of them.

Khromewerks Sweeper bars 2+2= From what the have told me they come back a couple inches and go up a couple inches from stock. I would like to know if anyone has put these on what cables need to be changed. I would be ok with changing the clutch cable, but would like to leave the wiring and brake cable alone. $80

Klockwerks Ergo Back Bars= These from what the tell me go up a little from stock and come back 2 inches. These are kind of pricey, but you do not have to do anything to cables. $280

Wild Ones 578= 10" inch monkey bar that you can pull back a little if needed. You will have to change the clutch cable, but the others should work. Little pricey again. $220

Wild Ones 575= They are a little higher and pull back. These are less gorgiving and would have to be set at an exact spot. Little pricey again. $220

So if anyone has put these on a Streetglide let me know what had to be done. Seems to me the Wild ones aren't as wide from what I can see. The others are getting a little wide.

I have Ergo Backs on my SG. While they are an improvement over stock, they are not well suited for us with shorter arms. I am 5'9" and while I gain some advantage in pullback, it is lost in having to spread my hands wider. It's not bad, but noticeable, and I am picky. I am changing out to WO575 bars this winter, so if you are interested in the Ergo backs let me know, they'll be for sale.

When I looked into this it was my understanding that almost any change would require new cables. If you're going to do it, just get what you like the best and do the cable change. Do you really think a new bar with very similar specs would make you happier?

Thanks guys. I think the ergo ups are what I am lookign for heigth, but they seem a little wide. The 2+2 sounds pretty nice with them going up 2 inches and back a couple. Than we got the 578's and they look nice also. I just want a couple inches taller and I want to get the right ones the first time.
